In her short documentary ‘Old Wives Tale‘ Katarina Bošnjak gives insight into morphology of the semiotic and anthropological meanings of symbols and designs in everyday life and cultural changes seen through eyes of a woman who is living her life in a small province placed in the heart of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Čatići, near Kraljeva Sutjeska (Kings Sutjeska).
‘Old Wives Tale’ is a composition of statements that are organised in four parts of this audiovisual document, presenting four different elements of conditions of one's existence: tradition, embroidery, tattooing and religious and social belonging.
